Kara Robertson is a Board Certified Nurse Practitioner with extensive experience in Dermatology and Aesthetic Medicine. She received her Nursing degree from Cedarville University, where she also earned a minor in Cross-Cultural Nursing. Kara has performed medical work in Africa and various parts of South America.

She went on to receive post-graduate training at UCLA Medical Center, graduating with a Masters of Nursing degree and Family Nurse Practitioner degree in 2012. Kara has received extensive training in Dermatology, Pediatrics, Emergency Medicine, and Family Medicine. She specializes in skin cancer screenings, general dermatology, and the surgical management of skin cancers. Kara also has a passion for minimally-invasive cosmetic procedures and has advanced training in various aesthetic techniques.

In her free time, Kara enjoys the outdoors, staying active, and spending time with family and friends. Patients are constantly impressed by her warmth, knowledge, and skills. Kara splits time between Colorado and Utah and is available for in-person visits as well as telehealth.

Megan Thackaberry is a Board Certified Physician Assistant (PA-C), specializing in dermatology. Originally from Virginia, Megan graduated from The College of William and Mary with a Bachelors of Science in Biology and Public Health. She then went on to earn her Masters of Medical Science in Physician Assistant Studies from Lincoln Memorial University in Knoxville, TN, a PA program with enhanced focus on surgical training. She is a Diplomate Fellow of the Society of Dermatology Physician Associates. She currently serves as the Director-at-Large for the Colorado Dermatology Physician Assistants (CDPA). Megan is also a member of the Colorado Academy of Physician Associates (CAPA). She is a frequent volunteer with The Sun Bus, a mobile skin cancer screening clinic, as both a clinician and blog editor.

Prior to becoming a PA, Megan discovered her love of dermatology while working as a medical assistant in a dermatology practice in Boulder, CO. She is passionate about delivering high-quality care to people of all ages, especially concerning preventative care, chronic disease management, acne, and cosmetic concerns. Megan strives to stay current on new research, medications, and techniques to best serve her patients. She is dedicated to ensuring that every patient feels listened to and gets the exceptional medical care that they deserve at every visit.

Outside of dermatology, Megan is a volleyball player and a less-than-average ability skier (but improving every season!) She is incredibly detail-oriented and enjoys working with her hands and learning new skills (currently exploring quilting, watercolors, and woodworking!) Megan is especially talented at cooking and baking and enjoys sharing her creations with anyone who will eat them. She and her husband have a goofy white husky/shepherd mix named Oatis and three chickens (Dolly Carton, Stevie Chix, and Kelly Cluckson).
